  1. Pathing Needs Major Work

@newbies13 Yeah, I see what you mean. That feeling crops up with me at some times as well. I dont know what kind of strategy, planning and workflow methods they use. But from the outside they seem to have started many different functionalities at once, working to a convergence point. This has the advantage of being able to show the public (and stakeholders) something early on. Progress (in the early stages) looks great this way. But as the devil is in the detail this progress will slow down over time. A good thing with this way of working is that it allows developers to gain and apply empirical knowledge. I think they could improve on some error detection by using more predictive methods. Even simple time-outs for states dont seem to be implemented yet. This bewildered me too as they just finished their engine. Without those safe guards errors can spread through a system like wild fire as errors go unnoticed. But without insight in a more detailed road map it is hard to come to conclusions. Maybe they have those safeguards in place but do not enable them in public releases. That is why I suggested simple animations for when the in-game detects a fault state. I rather have object disappear with a visible clue and maintain engine stability then waiting for the complete crash as what is the current state of the game.
  2. Pathing Needs Major Work

There are a great many things that need work in this game, hence the alpha state. I do agree that it is frustrating at times. I also agree that they could add some simple fault-state-detection. I even think they should add some funny catch-all animations to it as well (let them die with a twitchy leg whilst emptying their bowels). I do not agree on the sentiment about lost games though. Again the game is unfinished. Just play it a couple of times after each update and hope they continue to progress. Every update will bring new game-breaking things, that is why we are here; to press the bug-button.
  3. @realAdahyAndElu: No collusion with a Creator. #FakeNews from the mainstream media. SIC. BAD #NoMoreLeaks This latest tweet sparked a burst of outcry over the weekend. Elu and Adahy continue to blame the media for reporting on the leaked Creator story. The many scandals around the first four peaked when Yumhu fell from the sky and left a bright red stain in the middle of the village. Now disgruntled insiders tell a story about the indifference and cruelty of the remaining three originators and their families. An anonymous source and close member of their extensive family told us "the village elders were not surprised by the sudden death of their life long companion and it had not impacted their lives in any significant way". Although having just lost her partner with whom she had so many adventures Uha directly returned to her work in the hospital. Why could she not save our most loved Yumhu? Why was she not surprised to find her friend flattened beyond recognition in front of the hut they both had worked so hard for to build to exact specifications of all other huts? There have always been questions and rumors about the origins of our community. Now there is again evidence that suggest the first four were not the builders of The Evolution Tower. It is widely believed nowadays that Adahy and Elu never had the knowledge to create such a sophisticated building and that Yumhu and Uha were to young at the time. They have based their reputation on a lie! There are so many stories of nuggets who experience bizarre events first hand. One tells the story about how she was caressed by the hand of the Creator. In ecstatic terms she boast about an orgasmic sensation. She flew through the air, like at the end of a sorcerers wand! A witness later said it looked more like she was a piece of gravel being shaken of the back leg of a cat. Fact is that after regaining consciousness she had missed significant events on the farm with many deaths as a result. Still both firmly believe that one day they will be taken up to the stars and live forever with the Creator. We have enough reason to believe there is an external force at work. We only have three of the original four nuggets left. Let Adahy, Elu or Uha step forward and tell the real story about the Evolution Tower and their contacts with the Creator. Discovering the truth about our incestuous nature is more important for us to heal and move forward as a society then the prosecution for the many crimes against nuggety committed in our past. 4. Children of the Corn

Haha, yeah, the current state of the game leads to playing / circumventing the bugs and inbalances. I also tried slowing down the population growth. By carefully selecting the research, by continuesly building things before nuggets have the chance to start building huts or by flinging nuggets into space. Once the population reaches 35 I get random hick ups in the game were it freezes completely for a couple of seconds without any CPU activity. (feels like a process being restarted). So my current challenge is to build and operate every building before the AI breaks down and with a population smaller then 40.
  5. Children of the Corn

Children of the Corn Really frustrating! I finally found a way to get my civilisation through the first winters. Basically I race to build a fishery and build at least two farms and a hospital in the first winter. Hospitals dont need medics I found. Just make the patient the doctor and the little nugget will heal itself. But every time I reach about 90 to 100 years into my civilisation all my nuggets just stop. They stand still until they starve. Even if i gently slam them into the ground at the other side of the camp they just walk back from where they came from and continue their prayers in a catatonic state. Really frustrating! How far in did you guys get? Do you get past 100 years? Have you been able to build and operate all different buildings possible? Salut!
  6. Motion Sickness

Motion Sickness Hi, First post, so I will start with complementing the devs. I played the alpha several times allready and like both the concept and the execution. Keep up the good work! But ... I wonder if more people get motion sickness playing the alpha? Although in VR games there are plenty of moments I feel my stomach but never had it happen to me playing "normal" games. Untill The Universim. The easing in and out of the camera movements, the latency and following nuggets (especially with a window open) leave me really unsettled. Work hard and prosper!
